As I step into 2026, I’m carrying one simple word with me…Receptive.
Not rushed. Not forcing. Not grasping. Just open.
Open to where God is leading. Open to quiet nudges, the unexpected turns, and the opportunities placed along the path. Open to trusting that what is meant for this season will unfold in its own time.
This past year with Kindred Bees Bakery and the farm has been full of learning, stretching, joy and hard work. There were early mornings, flour covered counters, sore muscles, full hearts, and moments that reminded me why this calling took root. To nourish. To connect. To create something grounded in care, community and purpose.
As we look ahead, there are so many possibilities. New offerings. New seasons on the farm. New ways to serve and share. Instead of holding tightly to a fixed plan, I’m choosing to stay receptive to God’s guidance, trusting that He orders each step with intention.
Being receptive also means listening. Listening for His voice in the stillness. Listening to wisdom, discernment, and the need for rest. Listening to what this space is being shaped into.
For the bakery, for the farm, and for life beyond them, I’m opening my hands and my heart. Trusting that God will grow what is meant to grow, prune what needs refinement, and carry this work forward in ways I cannot yet imagine.
Thank you for walking alongside me. Your support, encouragement, and kindness are such a gift. Here’s to a new year of being receptive to God’s timing, to growth and to what’s next.
